Summer Activities in Chandler, Arizona

No matter the season, there is always something fun to do in Chandler. We have hiking, we have markets, we have museums, and we have music. Five Fun Things to Do in Chandler this Summer

1: Downtown Chandler Summer Market 

The summer farmer’s market runs from 7 am to 10 am every Saturday from June to September  at Dr. A.J. Chandler Park. You can find fresh local produce, artisan food products, handmade goods and local artists 

2: The Summer Concert Series

This series of five free concerts at the Chandler Center for the Arts are a great way to kick off your weekend. The concerts are held on Fridays at 7pm and run from July 24th through August 21, and you can RSVP for the livestream if you prefer to watch from home. 

3: Art Exhibits

Chandler always has interesting art exhibits and live performances going on. We already mentioned the free concerts at The Chandler Center for the Arts, but don’t forget about The Chandler Museum or The Vision Gallery. Both venues have several new exhibits scheduled this summer.

4: The Railway Museum

If you want to get a little sun, this unique outdoor museum features historic train cars that have been completely restored. They not only tell you the history of the railway but also allow you to get a feel of the past by allowing access to some of the cars. 

5: Nature Hikes (or Walks) 

Chandler is known for its scenic hikes and walking trails. For instance, South Mountain Park and Preserve is only a few miles outside of town, and they have hiking trails for all abilities. You can find many walkable areas, including one trail that includes scale models of the planets and other celestial bodies.
